Starting March 29, Air Astana will launch regular flights from Almaty to Shanghai.
The flights will operate three times a week – on Tuesdays, Thursdays, and Sundays. The new route is convenient both for short trips and for onward connections to other destinations within China and the wider region.
The launch of the service will increase the total number of flights between Kazakhstan and China to 84 per week. This makes the route more accessible and flexible for tourists, business travelers, and those planning multi-destination itineraries.
Shanghai has long attracted visitors with its blend of modern architecture, historic neighborhoods, and vibrant urban life. A direct flight from Almaty simplifies travel and opens up more opportunities for journeys between the two countries.
