The park is located just a few dozen kilometers from Bishkek, and the new gondola now makes its stunning mountain panoramas much more accessible to visitors. Previously, many of the routes required significant physical effort.
The new gondola spans one kilometer and can transport up to 1,000 people per hour. The project was implemented by the Austrian company Doppelmayr, a global specialist in ropeway engineering. Doppelmayr is also participating in the development of the Ala-Too Resort ski complex in the Issyk-Kul Region.
During the opening ceremony, Kyrgyzstan’s President Sadyr Japarov emphasized that the park’s modernization is being carried out in stages. In recent years, the infrastructure has been upgraded and visitor facilities improved. The next step is to extend the gondola line by another 12 kilometers, creating a route from the park entrance to more remote and scenic areas.
Meanwhile, new tourist facilities are appearing in Ala-Archa. A rodelbahn for active recreation is under construction, cottages are being built, and plans are underway for a five-star hotel with a swimming pool. Gradually, the park is evolving from a day-trip destination into a full-fledged mountain retreat.
The development of infrastructure is changing the way visitors experience Ala-Archa. The mountains remain the main attraction, but now natural beauty is complemented by increasing comfort and modern services.
