The exhibition brings together works by artisans from all regions of the country. On display are ceramics, painting, felt tapestries, and decorative objects. Every piece is rooted in traditional techniques yet adapted to a modern visual language.
A prominent place is given to ceramics by Solmaz Mukhammedova, People’s Artist of Turkmenistan. Her works draw inspiration from the country’s nature and cultural motifs and are distinguished by expressive forms and a strong authorial style.
The painting section explores themes of history, everyday life, and mythology. Among the works by local artists are pieces by Dmitry Filipchenko, created on velvet. His artworks reference epic imagery and legendary narratives.
ART-bazar also presents rare craft practices. Visitors can see paper made from mulberry tree bark, traditionally used for drawing and calligraphy. The exhibition is complemented by leather goods reimagined through a contemporary lens.
Visitors have the opportunity to meet the artisans, learn about the creative process, and gain a deeper understanding of Turkmenistan’s cultural traditions.
