The initiative aims to simplify the check-in process and enhance convenience for travelers.
The system is based on digital identity and biometric data. Guests will be able to complete registration before arrival by uploading the required documents via a mobile device. For repeat visits, the process will be even faster, using streamlined authentication methods such as facial recognition.
The solution has been developed by the Dubai Department of Economy and Tourism. The system will be integrated gradually into hotels’ digital platforms, supporting Dubai’s broader strategy of digital transformation and the development of a smart city ecosystem.
In the future, the technology is expected to be extended to other tourism-related services, including car rentals and related offerings.
