The company has introduced a revised version of its tour Vägen till Samarkand (“The Road to Samarkand”). The route follows an ancient trade corridor that connected East and West centuries before the Common Era. These roads once carried silk, spices, gold, and carpets from China to the Mediterranean world.
The journey includes Khiva, Bukhara, Samarkand, and Tashkent. Each city reveals a different chapter of the region’s history. Travelers move from medieval quarters and lively bazaars to monumental squares and mosques.
Travelers will visit the Savitsky Museum in Karakalpakstan, the historic center of Khiva, as well as the cities of Bukhara and Samarkand. Special attention is given to Registan Square and the Bibi-Khanym complex, sites that have become visual symbols of the country.
The tour lasts 10 days and is designed for groups of 15 to 26 people. No visa is required for the trip.
As with other Temaresor programs, the focus is on in-depth excursions led by Swedish-speaking guides with strong expertise in the region’s history.
The Road to Samarkand program is aimed at travelers who seek more than a checklist of landmarks. The itinerary is structured as a gradual immersion into a region where cultures, religions, and trade routes have intersected for centuries.
