According to Uzbekistan Airways, the insurance policy must be valid for the entire duration of the trip. The minimum coverage required is $5,000 for outpatient treatment and $30,000 for inpatient medical care. The policy must also cover emergency medical assistance and evacuation.

The document must be issued in English or Georgian. Travelers without valid insurance may face a fine of 300 Georgian lari, which is equivalent to more than 1.3 million Uzbek soums.

It is important to note that insurance may be checked not only at the border, but at any time during the stay in the country.

For travelers, this is a reminder that proper preparation is an essential part of a safe and comfortable journey—especially when visiting popular destinations with a high volume of tourists.
