The history of the company began in 1989 with the dream of its founder Tim Littler about railway tourism. For three and a half decades, Golden Eagle has gained worldwide recognition, giving about 30,000 guests unforgettable trips across Europe and Asia. Today, James Masterson, the grandson of the founder and director of product development, continues the business. It is under his leadership that the company returns to China to rediscover amazing routes for travelers.

What awaits the guests?

Three exclusive trips where luxury is combined with the spirit of adventure:

  • The Great Silk Road (22 days, 6500 km): from Beijing through Samarkand, Bukhara and Khiva to the beauties of Kyrgyzstan and Uzbekistan. You will follow in the footsteps of ancient merchants, discovering a world of cultures and traditions.
  • “Ancient China by Private Train”: a route through the heart of China, where history and nature merge together. Imperial capitals, desert oases and ancient cities are waiting for you – from Beijing to Kashgar.
  • “Unexplored Horizons of China” (13 days): an expedition to the highlands of Tibet. From Urumqi to mystical Lhasa, ancient bazaars, stunning landscapes and the sacred Potala Palace await you.
