New airports will be built in Kazakhstan, and the main air hubs will be expanded.

Second runways will be constructed in Astana and Shymkent, while the domestic terminal in Almaty will be renovated. In Aktau, the apron will be renovated.

The new projects will also affect the regions. A new terminal will be built in Atyrau, and the aerodrome in Pavlodar will be reconstructed. Airports will open in the resort areas of Katon-Karagay, Zaysan, and Kenderli. Arkalyk Airport will resume its operations.

At the same time, Kazakhstan is expanding international air connections. New flights to Europe, Asia, and the Middle East will be added to the route network.

Destinations will include Vienna, Rome, Warsaw, and Tokyo. Flights are also planned to Abu Dhabi, Riyadh, Dammam, Larnaca, and Amman. In China, the network will cover Xi’an, Shanghai, Urumqi, and Kashgar.

By the end of 2026, airlines will receive nine new aircrafts. This will increase flight frequency and improve transport accessibility across the regions.
