Kokand-A Gateway to the World of Crafts and Traditions

From September 19 to 21, 2025, Kokand transformed into a true capital of craftsmanship. More than 300 artisans from 71 countries took part in the 3rd International Handicrafts Festival.

Visitors discovered the works of masters specializing in metalwork, forging, wood carving, silk production, blacksmithing, and embossing. In Rishtan, a Potters’ Forum was held, where craftsmen shared the secrets of their craft, UzA reports.

As part of the festival, a unique museum of crafts was opened, showcasing more than 600 works created by participating artisans.

A map with routes across the Fergana region was prepared for participants, including craft workshops, museums, historical monuments, sacred sites, and cozy places for rest.

A gastronomic street treated guests and participants to traditional Uzbek dishes. The event also featured elements of ethno-tourism, including archery and national wrestling competitions, as well as circus and puppet theaters.
