The program includes urban and mountain races, night formats, and out-of-town running events. Below is a selection of the main running events scheduled in Uzbekistan for 2026.

BUKHARA NIGHT RACE – April 18

The event will take place in Bukhara and, this time, will be held in spring. In 2025, the race took place on September 13 alongside the first Bukhara Biennial.

The half marathon is a comfortable way to ease into the running season. The route winds through Bukhara’s historic streets, passing madrasas, mosques, the Kalyan Minaret, and traditional trading domes. In the evening, the architecture is illuminated with soft lighting, giving the city a completely different atmosphere than during the day and shaping the overall experience of the race.

ZAAMIN ULTRA – June 13–14

This race takes place in Zaamin National Nature Park. It is a mountain ultramarathon featuring long distances, significant elevation gain, and challenging terrain.

The event attracts runners from different countries and is designed for various levels of preparation – from shorter trail distances to ultra races. ZAAMIN ULTRA also includes camping, relaxation areas, and additional outdoor activities.

SKY CAMP – August 22–23

SKY CAMP is a two-day out-of-town running event that combines running, social interaction, and rest in a camp-style setting.

The program features running activities, evening gatherings, and informal community time. It is designed as a running weekend for the community rather than a traditional competitive race.

SAMARKAND MARATHON – November 7–8

A city marathon traditionally held at the end of the season. The program includes the marathon distance, a half marathon, and shorter races. The course runs through Samarkand’s main landmarks – from the Gur-Emir Mausoleum to the Shah-i-Zinda ensemble.

The organizers also place strong emphasis on inclusivity. The Samarkand Marathon Series is accredited by the international organization SheRACES, which supports women’s participation and promotes equal conditions for athletes of all categories.
