From December 15, 2025 to January 15, 2026, traffic will be restricted in the area surrounding the square in front of the National Library of Uzbekistan.
The list of temporarily closed sections includes:
- Zarafshan Street — from Hyatt Regency Tashkent to Matbuotchilar Street;
- Istiklol Street — from Amir Temur Avenue to Buyuk Turon Street;
- Buyuk Turon Street — from its intersection with Istiklol Street to the Youth Creativity Palace.
In addition, restrictions will affect Taras Shevchenko Street, known for its dining venues. From December 17 to January 5, traffic will be closed on the following sections:
- Taras Shevchenko Street — from Fidokor Street to Nukus Street;
- Sayid Baraka Street — from Oybek Street to Amir Temur Avenue.
Residents and visitors are advised to plan their routes in advance. This will help avoid inconvenience during the holiday period.
