The State Register has been updated with 121 official names of mountain objects. Now all toponyms have been brought into full compliance with the official language of the country and have become mandatory for use on maps, documents and registers.
A special Republican commission worked behind the scenes of the changes. Experts have carefully studied the existing names, corrected linguistic inaccuracies and returned historically correct names to natural attractions.
The updated naming system will not only preserve the national heritage, but also make traveling through the mountains of Uzbekistan even more convenient. Now tourists and locals can be sure of the uniformity of names on all maps and in official sources.
