Direct Flights to Baku for Navruz: Convenient Schedule from Air Astana

Ahead of the Navruz (Nauryz) holiday, Air Astana is resuming direct flights from Almaty to Baku and expanding its flight schedule.

Starting March 15, 2026, flights on the Almaty-Baku-Almaty route will operate twice a week, on Thursdays and Sundays. From April, the frequency will increase to three flights per week, and from May to four weekly flights on Mondays, Thursdays, Fridays, and Sundays. The new schedule features daytime departures and arrivals, making travel planning more convenient.

Regular flights on the Atyrau-Baku-Atyrau route will also increase to three times per week. From March 18, flights will operate on Mondays, Wednesdays, and Saturdays, and from April on Tuesdays, Thursdays, and Saturdays. Flight time is approximately 3 hours 35 minutes from Almaty and 1 hour 25 minutes from Atyrau.

Round-trip economy-class fares, including all taxes and fees, start from KZT 157,182 (USD 320) for departures from Almaty and from KZT 97,093 (USD 196) for departures from Atyrau. Tickets are available on the airline’s website, via company’s mobile app, and through authorized travel agencies.

Kazakhstan citizens do not require a visa to travel to Azerbaijan, making it an easy and convenient destination for celebrating Navruz.
