Where are we going? New and renewed international destinations

Among the announced routes are flights to key cities around the world:
  • Vienna;
  • Rome;
  • Shanghai;
  • Tokyo;
  • Riyadh;
  • Larnaca;
  • Amman;
  • Dammam;
  • Kashgar;
  • Delhi;
  • Riga;
  • Bishkek (from Shymkent);
  • Warsaw;
  • Urumqi (from Shymkent).

In addition, the flight to Abu Dhabi will be resumed. These changes are designed to attract foreign tourists and strengthen Kazakhstan’s transport links with global hubs.

Domestic tourism: more flights — more opportunities

To support domestic tourism and increase the accessibility of the regions, 42 domestic routes are already operating, including destinations to tourist areas. The plans include the resumption of 9 additional flights, which will make traveling in Kazakhstan even more convenient.

Airport comfort: Q‑gate system and modernization

The authorities pay special attention to improving the level of service at airports:
Astana and Almaty have already implemented the Q‑gate system, which reduces queues and speeds up passenger service.

  • In 2026, Q‑gate will appear at 4 more airports: Shymkent, Aktau, Aktobe and Atyrau.

Infrastructure development: new and renovated airports

Within the framework of the three-year program for the development of the aviation industry, a large-scale modernization is underway:

  • The construction of tourist airports in the resort areas is being completed:
  • Katon‑Karagai;
  • Zaisan (the first flights will be accepted already this tourist season);
  • Kenderly.
  • The restoration of the airport in the city of Arkalyk is underway.

It is also planned this year:

  • complete reconstruction of the runway at Pavlodar Airport;
  • carry out apron repairs in Aktau;
  • begin modernization of the Atyrau terminal.

What does this mean for travelers?

These changes open up new possibilities:

  • More options for international flights;
  • Convenience by reducing the time required to complete procedures at airports;
  • Availability of domestic destinations, including tourist regions.

Kazakhstan relies on the development of air travel — and this is a great reason to plan new trips!
