The World Nomad Games were first held in Kyrgyzstan in 2014. They were later hosted again in 2016 and 2018. Over time, the Games grew into a major international cultural event. Turkey hosted the Games in 2022, followed by Kazakhstan in 2024.
In 2026, the World Nomad Games will return to Kyrgyzstan. The country is now preparing to welcome guests from around the world.
Delegations from nearly every continent have taken part in the Games, with the exception of Antarctica. Participating countries have included Kazakhstan, Uzbekistan, Mongolia, China, Russia, Turkey, and the United States. The program features national sports shaped over centuries. These include equestrian games, horse racing, falconry, and various forms of wrestling.
Today, the World Nomad Games are a national brand of Kyrgyzstan. They also serve as an important tool of cultural diplomacy. Above all, they represent a living history that can be seen, heard, and experienced.
