The production is prepared with the support of the Uzbekistan Art and Culture Development Foundation.

The performance introduces international audiences to the contemporary Uzbek opera scene, offering a dialogue between classical heritage and modern artistic interpretation. Directed by Stefano Poda, the production brings together music, drama, and visual art, exploring universal themes of love, power, and destiny.

The foundation of the performance is George Frideric Handel’s original score, reimagined with renewed sound by composer Kirill Richter. While the musical interpretation has been refreshed, the original structure and vocal-instrumental expressiveness of the work remain intact.

The music will be performed by the National Symphony Orchestra of Uzbekistan under the baton of Alibek Kabdurakhmanov, alongside the Orchestra of Uzbek Folk Instruments and the State Choir of Uzbekistan.

This new interpretation is enriched with subtle Eastern intonations, enhancing the scale and artistic depth of the production and offering a distinctive cultural perspective on Handel’s classic.
