Uzbekistan’s Capital to Host 2028 Asian Track Cycling Championships

This decision was made by the Executive Committee of the Asian Cycling Confederation.

The 2028 Asian Track Cycling Championships are set to take place in Tashkent, Uzbekistan, according to the National Olympic Committee of Uzbekistan.

The tournament will take place at the velodrome in the Olympic City. Built in 2025, the facility fully meets international standards. The track is wooden and circular, with controlled indoor conditions suitable for both training and competition.

The championship will also serve as part of the qualification process for the 2028 Olympic Games in Los Angeles, allowing participants to earn ranking points toward Olympic selection.

This will be the first Asian Track Cycling Championship held in Uzbekistan. Hosting the event reflects the growing interest in cycling within the country and strengthens Uzbekistan’s position on the international sporting stage.
